History
Since 1989, WL&A has implemented Electronic Data Interchange ("EDI") and Electronic Commerce ("EC") technology strategies in the media advertising industry worldwide. During this time, we have worked with many media companies, advertising agencies, associations, and system vendors to create effective strategies, processes, and standards.
Each member of the development team at WL&A has over 20 years of experience in implementing EC and EDI related technologies in many industries including media advertising, banking, healthcare, Department of Defense, telecommunications, and power. Click here for a partial list of our clients.
Our depth of experience gives us a clear understanding of what is important and what will work in electronic commerce for any industry. Our new technology and service, LAMBediSM, is the culmination of this experience
Under the direction of WL&A, a consortium of Australian national media and advertising companies formed to develop the standards, procedures and agreements for electronic trading in 1989. Following that success, WL&A has worked with media industry groups and associations in the U.S. and Canada, such as the US Cable Networks and the Canadian ICA and CMDC to develop and implement EDI strategies between media sellers and advertising agencies.
We believe EDI should be affordable to organizations of any size. LAMBediSM is a flexible strategy that is scalable so that it can support the future growth of your company in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). EDI should not be another corporate "cost center" swallowed up in a pit of operating expenses. Instead, it should facilitate the trade of documents without being a cost burden to the business.
In our book, an "Open" standard is a technology that allows any company of any size to trade electronically using any application with any data format. Open isn't defined by a format language like X12, EDIFACT, XML, flat file, or by the type of protocol such as web services, FTP, internet, VAN (EDI Value Added Network provider), or EDIINT.
Open means if a company can exchange and process data on paper with its trading partners adequately enough to support its business, then this is enough to do it electronically.
LAMBediSM supports this paradigm by not placing the burden of supporting the formats and rules of a company's trading partners on the company. Therefore, our technology is truly open process in that all can play in EDI.
We will be glad to share with you more about these and other benefits of EDI and how we can help your organization. For more information, please view some of the additional resources available on the site or, contact us using the information below.
