Electronic Copy Instructions and Brand Allocations for Networks and Stations

To support the goals above for broadcast and cable networks as well as stations, it is necessary for your traffic system to be able to export contract data to build a proper database of network/agency contract related information.This will enable LAMBpapersm to correctly identify and validate copy instructions as well as brand allocations.

In addition, we will perform two parallel activities to reduce the amount of faxed and emailed copy instructions.

First Activity: Convert Copy Instructions from Media Buyers

First, we will work with you to eliminate most copy instructions received currently by fax or email and produce a consistent form for review and transaction to load into internal traffic systems. The fax conversion module is installed and configured to intercept and convert incoming copy instruction faxes into structured data files. Once the fax has been converted, LAMBpapersm will take the resultant data file and validate the copy instruction. The conversion process can optionally add data from the associated contract into the copy instruction so that your internal systems or personnel can process the copy instruction more efficiently.

Second Activity: EDI copy instructions with National Advertising Agencies

Secondly and in parallel with the above activity, we will coordinate with the handful of major agency system vendors such as DDS, Datatech/MediaBank/Mediaplex, Strata and Medialine and others, or directly with your advertising agencies to redirect the copy instructions from their traffic system prior to being faxed or emailed. The data will then pass through our LAMBpapersm gateway system for that vendor for conversion to an EDI data file transaction to be delivered directly to your LAMBpapersm as a transaction. This activity will only deal with well formed copy instructions from known national agency traffic systems. This will cover most, if not all, of the copy instructions from all your national advertising agencies. In many cases, we do not expect much involvement required by the vendors as no development will be required by them. Vendor involvement may not be required if the redirection is performed by the media buyers at the agencies. For example, it may simply be that the copy instruction is saved to another location (a shared folder or FTP site used by LAMBpapersm to pick up the instructions) instead of being printed out to a fax.

The overall objective is to eliminate the manual handling of faxed copy instructions from your major national advertising agencies.
